Twin Lakes Vegetation Management Project

Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands Chaffee; Lake, Colorado Leadville Ranger District

There is a need to mitigate the potential impacts from high intensity wildfire to the watershed, reservoir, and other resources. Proposed vegetation treatments include mechanical/hand-thinning, firewood/product removal, and prescribed burning.

Location

The project is located south of Twin Lakes, Colorado in Lake and Chaffee Counties. A portion of the project is located within a Colorado Roadless area.
