East Park North Divide Fuels Reduction

Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands Park; Teller, Colorado Pike and San Isabel National Forests and Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands All Units

The forest is proposing a combination of vegetation treatments and prescribed fire on approximately 19,000 acres to reduce hazardous fuel loading while improving forest health and resiliency to high severity wildfires, insect outbreaks and disease.

Location

The project area is located in eastern Park and central Teller counties along the US Highway 24 corridor. The project surrounds private, state and other federal lands in central Colorado.
