The 83,000 Taos Canyon Forest and Watershed Restoration project would reduce fuel loading and restore forest structure, composition, and spatial distribution to maintain watersheds that are resilient to fire and protect adjacent communities.

Location

Adjacent to Pueblo Ridge project, generally south of U.S. Highway 64, from the forest boundary to the east to the McGaffey project boundary and NM Highway 518 to the west, south as far as Cerro Vista.
