Espinoso and Barranco Vegetation Management Project

Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands Torrance, New Mexico Mountainair Ranger District

Improve habitat diversity, reduce fuels and provide forest products through the use of prescribed burning and thinning. About 1000 acres of thinning along Forest Roads 205, 275, and 422 and about 2,500 acres of prescribed burning.

Location

In the southern Manzano Mountains about 10 miles northwest of Mountainair.
