Magdalena Mountains Timber Stand and Wildlife Habitat Improvement Project

Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands Socorro, New Mexico Magdalena Ranger District

This project purpose is to enhance wildlife habitat by reintroducing fire as a natural process, to reduce fuels in areas at high risk of catastrophic wildfire and to build fuel breaks in strategic locations for fire fighter safety.
