Prescribed Fire for Restoration and Hazardous Fuels Project

Sawtooth National Forest Ada; Blaine; Camas; Canyon; Cassia; Custer; Elmore; Gooding; Lincoln; Power; Twin Falls; Box Elder, Idaho; Utah Sawtooth National Forest All Units

The proposed project would authorize multiple prescribed burns across the Forest every year (from 10 to 10,000 acres each), as well as associated actions, to restore health and resiliency to vegetation communities on the Sawtooth National Forest.

Location

Prescribed fire would be authorized, where it will achieve desired conditions, on all national forest system lands except designated wilderness, Research Natural Areas, and pinyon pine stands.
