The Sisters Ranger District on the Deschutes National Forest is in the pre-NEPA early stages of developing a proposed action for a landscape restoration project, North Basin. The project area, approximately 15,000 acres, is in the Metolius Basin, northwest of the City of Sisters.
Location
Northwest of the City of Sisters, and includes areas north of Highway 20, west of Forest Service Road 12, east of the Mount Jefferson Wilderness boundary, around Wizard Ridge and Wizard Falls Hatchery, and along portions of Forest Service Roads 1210, 1230, and 1270.
