The proposed action includes approximately 14,400 acres of thinning (shaded fuels break, commercial and small tree), mowing, and/or prescribed burning. In addition, a well-established user trail within an isolated Forest Service parcel would be added to the Forest Service trail system.
Location
The project area, approximately 17,500 acres, is immediately north of the City of Sisters and includes areas north of Highway 20, along Indian Ford Creek, within Stevens Canyon, and along Forest Service Roads 2050 and 2055.
