To clean up the environment and reduce air pollution, this project would plug 81 abandoned oil and gas wells and remove related infrastructure on the Cumberland District of the Daniel Boone NF.
Location
Most abandoned wells are located in the Big Bend area of the Cumberland Ranger District. One well is in Estill County.
