Sorrel Springs Hazardous Fuels Project

The purpose and need of the project is to reduce high concentrations of hazardous fuels resulting from dead and dying trees. High stand densities within the project area have caused accelerated tree mortality from insects and diseases.

Location

The project area is located on the Ninemile Ranger District north of the community of Frenchtown in Missoula County, Montana within the Houle Creek and Roman Creek drainages in Township 14 North, Range 21 West, Section 20
