This project would remove dead timber adjacent to Jack Creek Ranch which is surrounded by US Forest Service property. The timber has been affected by Mtn Pine Beetle and the potential for fire due to increased fuel loads is of concern.

The project area is approximately 25 miles south and east of Walden, CO and approximately 6 miles east of Rand, CO.
