A portion of abandoned roadbed from the old US Highway 40 is impairing wetland function and quality at the headwaters to a Walton Creek Tributary. The Forest Service is proposing to remove fill from the abandoned roadbed and restore the wetland.
Location
Project area is most easily accessed via US HWY 40 approximately 0.5 miles northeast the West Summit Trailhead.
