Walton Peak East Vegetation Management Project

Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests & Thunder Basin National Grassland Routt, Colorado Hahns Peak/Bears Ears Ranger District

The project is designed as a response to the Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) epidemic. It has been proposed to increase the pace of restoration and resiliency of National Forest System lands and further the goals of the Routt National Forest Plan.

Location

The project is located within the Red Dirt, Middle Yampa, and Grizzly Creek Geographic Areas of the Hahns Peak/Bears Ears and Yampa Ranger Districts in Routt County Colorado.
