Triangle Earth Dams

Rio Grande National Forest Conejos, Colorado Conejos Peak Ranger District

Four earth dams for water collection will be constructed in the area known as the Triangle, just north of Terrace Reservoir. Construction is an earthen dug-out area with a dam and a spillway treated with salt to seal the bottom.
