The Divide Ranger District is proposing to salvage up to 515 acres of dead and dying Engelmann spruce trees near Poage Lake, south of South Fork, CO. Approximately six million board feet of Engelmann spruce may be salvaged through this project.

Location

The project area is located 11 miles south of South Fork, Colorado, Rio Grande County County. The project analysis area encompasses 3,434 acres.
