North Pool Spruce Beetle Salvage Project

Rio Grande National Forest Mineral, Colorado Divide Ranger District

The Divide Ranger District is proposing to salvage approximately 1,000 acres of dead and dying Engelmann spruce trees near Hanson's Mill, east of Creede, Colorado. Approximately eight million board feet of Engelmann spruce may be salvaged.

Location

The project area is located 11 miles east of Creede, Colorado, Mineral County. The project analysis area encompasses 2,479 acres.
