The Divide Ranger District is proposing to salvage up to 250 acres of dead and dying Engelmann spruce trees in the South Rock Creek drainage, southwest of Monte Vista, CO. Approximately 1.75 MBF (3,500 CCF) of Engelmann spruce may be salvaged.
Location
The project area is located 16 miles southwest of Monte Vista, Colorado, Rio Grande County. The project analysis area encompasses 1,361 acres.
