Poncha Timber Management Project

The sanitation units (230 acres) will harvest dead and dying Douglas fir sawtimber and non-sawtimber using ground-based harvesting systems. After commercial harvest is complete, firewood gathering commercial/personal may be allowed.

Location

Project is located off NFSR 878/BLM 5325 - approximately 8 miles southwest of Salida, CO and approximately 8 miles northeast of the town of Bonanza, CO.
