Grizzly Bear Capture in the Washakie Wilderness

Shoshone National Forest Fremont; Hot Springs; Park, Wyoming Shoshone National Forest All Units

The Wyoming Game & Fish Department and the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team have proposed to capture grizzly bears using aircraft in the Washakie Wilderness and then apply monitoring collars to captured bears.

Location

The project location involves various high alpine areas within the Washakie Wilderness in the Greybull, Wapiti, and Wind River Ranger Districts.
