Red River Town Park Restoration

Carson National Forest Taos, New Mexico Carson National Forest All Units

Installation of in-stream structures and other measures to improve fish habitat in a 0.5-mile section of the Red River. A special use permit is also proposed to expand the paved trail of Red River Town Park and to install ADA-compliant fishing piers.

Location

Restoration of the Red River will occur just upstream from its confluence with Bitter Creek west to the bridge at Pioneer Rd. Expansion of the paved trail will occur behind the Conference Center.
