Forest Road 478 Rio Chiquito Bridge Reconstruction

This project is to demolish and remove the existing bridge and replace it with a bottomless arch to maintain access to this major thoroughfare, reduce sedimentation, and improve instream flow and aquatic habitat.

Location

This location is at mile post 0.1 on Forest Service Road 478 on the Carson National Forest as it crosses the Rio Chiquito approximately 13 miles east of the intersection of FR 437 with State Highway 68 near Taos, NM.
