Mount Lemmon Pheromone Deployment

Coronado National Forest Pima, Arizona Santa Catalina Ranger District

Deploy anti-aggregation pheromones to mitigate tree mortality following the Bighorn Fire. Project area includes 600 acres of Mexican spotted owl habitat that burned at low to moderate intensity, and 427 acres within recreation areas on Mount Lemmon.

Location

Mexican spotted owl Protected Activity Centers within mixed conifer on Mount Lemmon, including Marshall Gulch, Spencer Campground, Whitetail Campground, Incinerator Ridge, and Organization Ridge.
