Bighorn Sheep Habitat Improvement Project

Ashley National Forest Daggett, Utah Flaming Gorge Ranger District

This project would improve bighorn sheep forage and lambing habitat, including increasing sight distances to detect predators, in areas along Flaming Gorge Reservoir. A combination of lop and scatter and prescribed fire would be used.

Location

The project analysis area lies approximately 30 miles north of Vernal, Utah in Daggett County. It is above the Flaming Gorge Reservoir above Red Canyon.
