Dutch John Gap Vegetation Management Project

Ashley National Forest Daggett, Utah Flaming Gorge Ranger District

Pinyon and juniper are encroaching into sagebrush vegetation treated for their removal in 1998. Incomplete P-J removal allowed re-encroachment. This project proposes to hand cut and lop/scatter P-J in the original 70 acres to maintain sagebrush.

Location

Approximately 2.5 miles NW of Dutch John, UT. Accessed by traveling northerly on Hwy-191 from Dutch John to Dutch John Gap; project is on W side of Hwy.
