Amber Onyx Mine

Ashley National Forest Duchesne, Utah Duchesne Ranger District

A proposal for small-scale open pit mining operation at the proposed Amber Onyx Mine. Large blocks of decorative calcite would be removed from the mine. Up to 2.5 acres active disturbance proposed. Disturbed areas not needed would be reclaimed.

Location

The Amber Onyx Mine would be in the Blind Stream drainage of the Duchesne District of the Ashley NF. Alongside Forest System road 121, near the center of Section 28, T2N R8W, Uinta Meridian.
