West Northwest D1 Wildlife Habitat Improvement Project

Ashley National Forest Daggett; Sweetwater, Utah; Wyoming Ashley National Forest All Units

The project will remove conifer species from shrub community types through lop and scatter on 19,682 acres. The project intent is to maintain native vegetation diversity, watershed stability, reduce wildfire potential, and improve wildlife habitat.

Location

West Northwest Region of the Flaming Gorge District in Utah and Wyoming. The project spans from the eastern to western edge of the district primarily south of Manila.
