We would thin approximately 7,571 acres of young lodgepole pine stands to improve forest health, reduce the risk of undesirable wildfires, and enhance wildlife habitat.

Location

The pre-commercial thinning units are located throughout the Ashley Karst National Recreation and Geologic Area north of Vernal, Utah.
