Kirkham Hollow Conifer Thinning and Aspen Enhancement Project

Caribou-Targhee National Forest Madison, Idaho Teton Basin Ranger District

Enhance aspen on 125 acres. Patches/clones/groups of aspen dominated by sapling/suckers will be identified and all conifer trees <6.0 inch DBH within their boundary will be cut. Conifer outside the aspen patches will be thinned to 11x11 (360 tr/ac)

West of Driggs, ID on Forest Road 816, a closed road originating on FR 328 (Kirkham Hollow) which is accessed via State Highway 33.
