Whitebark Pine Protection

Caribou-Targhee National Forest Clark, Idaho Dubois Ranger District

Cut, pull back and pile slash from conifers that is located within a 50 to 100 foot radius of mature, cone producing whitebark pine trees. This will reduce the competition and create a fuel break. Slash would be piled and possibly burned.

Location

There are three different area identified for treatment on the Dubois Ranger District; Boatman, Lone Pine and Table Mountain
