Sheep Creek Sage-grouse Habitat Improvement Project

Caribou-Targhee National Forest Oneida, Idaho Westside Ranger District

The purpose of the project is to improve sage-grouse habitat on the CNG. The project includes hand and mechanical juniper removal and thinning, creation of a fuel break and small mosaic openings in sagebrush to promote age-class diversity.

Location

Project is located on the Curlew National Grassland ~10 miles NNE of Holbrook, ID and ~18 miles west of Malad, ID.
