Rowley Canyon Wildlife Habitat Enhancement

Caribou-Targhee National Forest Bannock, Idaho Westside Ranger District

Utilizing hand felling and prescribed burning, juniper stands would be treated to ensure we are meeting habitat requirements for important wildlife species, such as elk, mule deer, ruffed grouse, sharp tail grouse.

Location

Project area is located on the southern end of Bannock County and the east side of the Elkhorn Mountain Range. It lies north of Summit Canyon and west of the I-15 corridor. It is also 14 miles north of Malad City, Idaho.
