Caribou Basin Small-Scale Placer Mining Project

Caribou-Targhee National Forest Bonneville, Idaho Soda Springs Ranger District

This proposed action was developed in coordination with the cooperating agencies (IDWR, IDEQ, IDFG, and IDL) as well as with early outreach to local mining associations. The proposed action would allow for the approval of small-scale placer mining.

Location

The project area is located approximately 39 air miles northeast of Soda Springs, Idaho and approximately 14 air miles west of Alpine, Wyoming in Caribou Basin.
