Dixie National Forest Garfield, Utah Powell Ranger District

The Dixie National Forest proposes to remove Pinyon and Juniper (PJ) from sage-steppe and riparian areas within Johns Valley to benefit wildlife and improve the environmental health of the area. A variety of treatments would be utilized.

Location

Within the E.F. Sevier River Subbasin at the southeast end of the Sevier Plateau. Immediately west of SR 22 (Johns Valley Road) approximately 10 miles north of its intersection with SR 12.
