Elk Springs Fuels Reduction and Restoration Project

Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest White Pine, Nevada Ely Ranger District

Within the project area there is a need to reduce fuels, maintain and restore aspen, mt mahogany and limber pine communities. This project will treat approximately 5,000 acres of pinyon-juniper and white fir within a larger 25,000 acres project area

Location

The project is located within the Schell Creek Range, approximately 5-10 air miles east of Ely, Nevada
