The Pickel Meadow restoration project will reactivate the alluvial fan at the upstream end of the meadow, repair a diversion structure within the meadow, and improve aquatic habitat within the West Walker River.

Location

Pickel Meadow is located along the West Walker River in Mono County on the Bridgeport Ranger District. Pickel Meadow can be accessed by HWY 108 (Sonora Pass) and is near the Marine Mountain Warfare Training Center.
