Salmon-Challis National Forest Custer, Idaho Lost River Ranger District

The proposed action is to reduce fuels in and surrounding the municipal watershed for Mackay, Idaho. The proposal is to mechanically treat 12 units (362 acres) by thinning from below and prescribe burn 12 other units (4,313 acres) on mine hill.

Location

The area is on mine hill west of Mackay, Idaho on the Forest between Black Daisey Canyon and Alder Cr. The project area is east of the Middle Fork of Navarre.
