2013 Canyon Creek Stream Restoration Partnership Project

Salmon-Challis National Forest Lemhi, Idaho Leadore Ranger District

The hand construction of stream improvement structures on seven sites within a ½ mile stream reach of Canyon Creek that would restore spawning and rearing habitat for Chinook salmon, rainbow trout/steelhead, bull trout and westslope cutthroat trout.

Location

The project is approximately 8 miles northeast of the town of Leadore, Idaho on Canyon Creek, a tributary to the Lemhi River. The project is located adjacent to Highway 29, the Railroad Canyon Road.
