Salmon-Challis National Forest Custer, Idaho Challis-Yankee Fork Ranger District

The intent of the project is to improve timber stands, wildlife forage and habitat by utilizing hand thinning, hand piling and prescribed burning to restore stands closer to reference conditions

Location

The project area is located seven miles northwest of Challis and surrounds the communication site on top of Grouse Peak.
