Salmon-Challis National Forest Custer, Idaho Challis-Yankee Fork Ranger District

Restore the area to a more natural condition, improve fish habitat, maintain the ability to release and acclimate hatchery steelhead and Chinook Salmon in some ponds, and retain and improve some pond fishing opportunities.

Location

Yankee Fork Salmon River, 28 air miles southwest of Challis, Idaho, on the Pond Series 1 side channel, which is near the Pole Flat Campground.
