Withington Aspen Improvement Project

Salmon-Challis National Forest Lemhi, Idaho Salmon-Cobalt Ranger District

The project proposes to remove small diameter (<4 inch) conifers out of and within 100 feet of 210 acres of aspen clones in the project area. Conifers would be cut, lopped, and scattered on site. No ground disturbing equipment would be used.

Location

The project area (T25N, R21E, parts of sections 22, 26, and 27) is located approximately 10 air miles southeast of Salmon, Idaho in Lemhi County.
