North Fork Salmon River Instream Habitat Restoration Project

Salmon-Challis National Forest Lemhi, Idaho North Fork Ranger District

Habitat improvements will include the installation of engineered log jams and channel spanning weirs. These structures will be installed with a medium excavator (using biodegradable oils) and pools will be created at each structure.

Location

The restoration projects occur within the North Fork Ranger district in the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Lemhi County. The project is located along and within the North Fork Salmon River.
