Salmon-Challis National Forest Custer, Idaho Salmon-Challis National Forest All Units

Use prescribed burn to restore historic timber stand structure characteristics to increase resiliency to disturbances such as insect infestations, disease, and fire.

Location

Project area is 112,214 acres on the Lost River Mountain Range south of the Pass Creek Road (Forest System Road 40122), east of Mackay, Idaho and northeast of Arco, Idaho.
