Reds Meadow Valley Wind-Fallen Tree Removal for Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project

Inyo National Forest Madera, California Mammoth Ranger District

Hazardous fuel treatment would remove wind-fallen trees on 150 acres outside of IRA, and 70 acres within IRA. A half mile of temporary roads would be constructed outside of IRA.

Location

The project is located in the Middle Fork San Joaquin River watershed, Madera County, California. Treatment areas are situated no farther than 0.3 mile from the paved road in Reds Meadow Valley.
