Birch Creek Mountain Yellow-Legged Frog Restoration Project

This project will improve mountain yellow-legged frog habitat by increasing current breeding pond area. This will be accomplished by removing sediment from the margins of the pond that was deposited as a result of the Birch Fire.

Location

Mono County, Inyo NF, California. Sand Canyon within Birch Creek, just upstream from Witcher Flat. About 2 miles NW of Swall Meadow.
