Parker Sage-Grouse Habitat Enhancement

Inyo National Forest Mono, California Mono Ranger District

Jeffrey pines are encroaching into otherwise suitable sage-grouse habitat, creating perches for raptors which dissuades use by grouse. Jeffrey pines would be felled and limbed using chain-saws and allowed to decay naturally on site.

Location

Parker Bench, southwest of Mono Lake
