Mendocino National Forest Lake, California Upper Lake Ranger District

Exterminate tamarisk infestation using chain saws to cut Tamarisk and expose the stumps for treatment with Garlon 4 with direct application. Follow-up monitoring and treatments will be required for 3-5 years.

Location

Along terraces of Rice Creek, about 2,000 feet upstream from Swallow Rock.
