Rust Resistant Sugar Pine Pheromone Treatment

Mendocino National Forest Glenn; Lake; Mendocino; Tehama, California Grindstone Ranger District

In response to a region-wide outbreak of mountain pine beetle, the Mendocino National Forest is proposing to apply the pesticide SPLAT Verb, a behavior disrupting pheromone called verbenone to sixteen rust resistant sugar pine trees.

Location

Trees are dispersed throughout the entire forest and within all ranger districts.
