US Geological Survey Strawberry Peak Tower Replacement

USGS monitors seismic activity. FCC frequency change requires that USGS constructs new 100' tower to replace overloaded 40' tower. Utilization of temporary portable tower for new frequencies until construction complete. 2 old towers will be removed.

Location

Strawberry Peak Communications Site. From Twin Peaks going south from Highway 189 onto Bear Springs Road for approximately 3 miles; turn right onto Forest Service Road 2N72 for ~0.5 miles.
