PIUTE FIRE RESTORATION PROJECT

Sequoia National Forest Kern, California Kern River Ranger District

Consists of salvage/harvest of fire killed/damaged trees; mechanically treating areas of densely stocked fire killed trees; restoring meadow habitat and mitigate erosion at French Meadow; and reconstructing existing roads to access treatment areas.

Location

Northern half of the Piute Mountains, located approximately seven (7) air miles southeast of Lake Isabella, CA.
