Shasta-Trinity National Forest Shasta, California Shasta Lake Ranger District

Thin trees in plantations, then underburn in plantations and adjacent areas. Currently 80% of plantation stands are in or above "zone of imminent mortality." Project is within WUI and LSR.

Location

Chalk Mountain--which is located in the area between Big Bend and Lake Britton; south of Road 37N02 (Summit Lake Rd) and north of the Pit River.
